Always have options right? I have only started packing and there is already limited space. I've started making stacks of things I need to bring like a little pack rat.
I may just wear five layers of clothes on the plane. That's logical right? Any packing suggestions are welcome. (Yes I will be rolling and not folding).
Maybe get some small space bags? So you can shrink them?
ReplyDeleteGood idea and really tempting. Only problem is that once I get there there isn't much storage room. So two suitcases is my proxy for closet space.
ReplyDeleteUm... from someone who's done this quite recently (and packed 2 suitcases for 10 months) I started making little piles and boxes ahead of time of things I THOUGHT I wanted to take. For someone like me, the key is to do one of two things:
ReplyDelete1) Put everything out you would LIKE to take and take away 2/3 of it.
2) Put everything out you think you NEED to take and take away 1/3 of it.
I also think space bags are a waste because a) you don't need that much stuff and b) the more you FIT into a bag means the HEAVIER your bag is. You might not care about extra weight charges, but you might care more when your back goes out carrying around all those extra bags (because we know this part of the world isn't as friendly to the differently-abled or those carrying 140lbs worth of bags).
2/3?????? You are so right on all accounts.
