Shopping and Choco

And I'm back!  Miss me yet?

This morning I went on a shopping adventure in Ber-Sheva.  Shaer took me to a large shopping center (think GIANT strip mall).  The parking lot is a scary thing.  Drivers in Israel make those luxury-car road rage maniacs in Beverly Hills look like toddlers with Tonka cars.  Apparently, unless a pedestrian is using a cross walk it's not legally required for a car to stop.  How much of this is realistic and how much is a saying lost in translation I'm not sure.... But I'm definitely watching my step!
We hit up the cell phone store (total madhouse) then a Russian supermarket, bookstore, toy store, and finally an electronics store so that I could by a curling iron that works with Israeli electrical currents.  (My American one worked for 2 minutes before shorting out.)  Let me say, curling irons aren't cheap here.

Later Shaer and I hit up a coffe shop called Gecko that his friends from high school own. Amazing cheesecake (at 10 in the morning) and great choco ham (hot chocolate).

I have more to say but I'm being summoned to lunch!
