Time is passing quickly, and in ten days I will be on my way back home to California. There's quite a bit of reflection and retrospection that I have to share, but lack the patience at the moment. I plan on making use of the long plane ride to do some substantial writing.
But in the meantime, I'm still having fun and enjoying my last week on the Kibbutz. We played Texas Hold'em and ate together last night (I still don't quite understand the game. Anyone want to teach me?). It was really fun, especially playing high stakes with Israeli Monoploy money. Opening bet at 1000 shekels, crazy!
I'm still enjoying the relaxed feeling and hoping I can carry it with me in the next few months. "Don't sweat the small stuff" is my new mantra. I just need to hold myself to it.
I'm also making lists in my head of what I need to do upon my return. I already have scheduled hair appointments and pedicures. Priorities first. Of course, I'm excited to have gym access again. I miss yoga and spin class like no other. Ironically, I also can't wait for some real Mexican food and a trip to In-and-Out. Also looking forward to two special weddings this summer. I'm happy to have so many great things to come home to!
Meanwhile, I'm trying not to stress about where I'm going to live (suggestions welcome from those of you who ever commuted downtown) and how I'm going to pay for the next year sans income. But, all will work out.
I plan on seeing you all very soon, so please prep yourselves. And Jeff, Dave and Mo--fire up the Celine Dion!
Latraot!
