- Went to a Romanian restaurant in Tel Aviv with my family yesterday.
- Food was good, but not anything totally different
- 4 hours of Romanian and Hebrew singing (I was sitting so close to the piano I could have played it myself)
- We sat next to an Israeli soap opera star.
- It was the birthday party of my mom's cousin's wife's uncle. (Confused? So was I.) But they were all lovely people giving me hugs and speaking at me in a mix of Romanian and Hebrew. The birthday boy (83 wow) also had his granddaughters there. Sigal 23 and Mital (18) were the sweetest girls ever! So nice to talk to and really friendly. I have to say too that they were legitimately some of the most naturally beautiful women I've ever seen.
- Later went for a walk in Yaffo with Sergiu (an old port city next to Tel Aviv) and took some cool pictures. They have an artist community there that looked really cool. Unfortunately it was Shabbat so everything was closed. We also failed in our attempt to find baklava. Que sera sera.
- Ate homemade ricotta and mushroom ravioli for a late dinner. OMG taim! (delicious)
- I have 7 mosquito bites on my leg all of which are wider in diameter than a quarter, some of which are at least 3 inches long. Being allergic to mosquitos is so freaking uncomfortable. Must have spent a good 30 minutes scratching them instead of sleeping around 2 AM.
- Today we're going to Palmachim (a beach) and then later lunch and a movie.
Hope you're all enjoying your weekend!
Latraot!
